Those Pesky Rabbits...
Angie is fed up with rabbits! They eat her trees, mow down her shrubs, and spew "pellets" around the lawn. Sounds like good fertilizer to me, but I really cannot fully appreciate her situation, as I have a cat and, therefore, no rabbits. Naturally, I advised Angie to buy a cat, but she assured me that doing so may create a whole new set of problems (marital).
We were grateful for the following suggestions from our listeners which just may help rid Angie, and you, of those pesky rabbits:
Tip #1:
3 T of Cayanne pepper (powdered)
1/4 Cup latex paint (any color will do...get creative!)
A few dashes of Tobasco
1 Qt. water
Put the above ingredients in a spray bottle and spray your tree trunks. Apparently when the rabbit bites the bark, the bark "bites' back. And imagine the fun you could have with color!
Tip #2:
"Check with your nursery", advised this tipster, but he's heard that peppermint plants placed at the base of the tree will repel rabbits. What a delightful way to take care of a pesky problem! We think it's worth investigating.

9/11 Poem
We have had a number of requests for the poem we read as our show ended on 9/11. So we dug through our files and found the beautiful words posted here for your use. Feel free to cut and paste them and send them out to everyone. We would love to credit the writer of these words but since it was listed as "Unknown" maybe through your forwards it will reach the one who put the poem down for the rest of us to enjoy.
Enjoy your day...and live life to the fullest! Angie and Darcy
If I Knewナ
If I knew it would be the last time Iメd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the lord, your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door, I would givet promised to anyone, young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight.
So if youメre waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes, youメll surely regret the day,
That you didnメt take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss,
And you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close today, and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them and that youメll always hold them dear.
Take that extra time to say, モIメm sorryヤ, モPlease forgive meヤ, モThank youヤ, or モItメs OK.ヤ
And if tomorrow never comes youメll have no regrets about today.
