Gameday final: Denver 3, UND 2

First period

UND 1, Denver 0 -- Danny Kristo (Brad Malone, Evan Trupp) 3:23 (pp). Kristo sniped one from the point on the power play to give UND its first lead of the weekend.

UND 2, Denver 0 -- Chris VandeVelde (Jason Gregoire, Danny Kristo) 17:26 (pp). VandeVelde carried the puck in the right dot and sniped it short side on Cheverie. 

Second period

UND 2, Denver 1 -- Joe Colborne (Kyle Ostrow, Drew Shore) 1:09 (pp). UND couldn't get a clear while killing the penalty and Denver made a few crisp passes until Colborne was alone in the slot. He had an easy tap-in goal.

UND 2, Denver 2 -- Joe Colborne (Patrick Wiercioch, Tyler Ruegsegger) 5:22 (pp). Wiercioch's shot was going wide, but hit Colborne in the back and went in.

Denver 3, UND 2 -- Kyle Ostrow (Joe Colborne, Rhett Rakhshani) 8:33 (pp). The Pioneers score again on the power play as UND cannot get a line change. The same four guys were on the ice for all 1:45 of the PP and Colborne eventually finds Ostrow at the backdoor.

Third period

Scoreless.
