UND used an off week to get some players healthy and ready for last weekend's series against Michigan Tech. Now, a pair of teams will do the same to UND.

St. Cloud State, which has had David Eddy, Sam Zabkowicz and Travis Novak missing, is coming off of their bye week.

Meanwhile, Denver is heading into its bye week with UND coming to town the following week. Coach George Gwozdecky said defenseman Patrick Weircioch wouldn't have been able to play this upcoming weekend if the Pioneers had games. He also said goalie Marc Cheverie is aiming to be back for the UND series. Cheverie missed last weekend against Alaska Anchorage and freshman Adam Murray struggled in his absense.

In other news, Minnesota lost defenseman Sam Lofquist, the Star Tribune says. He has left the team and left school. It is expected that Lofquist will go to the OHL. Two years ago as a member of the NTDP, Lofquist seemed to flirt with the OHL by attending a camp with the London Knights. The Gophers have lost a player midseason four years in a row.
