My WCHA awards ballot

Votes had to be turned in on Saturday night for the All-WCHA ballot. It's never easy to choose these. The toughest choice for me was picking the first-team goaltender -- Richard Bachman or Phil Lamoureux. Lamoureux edged Bachman for the goaltending title with a 1.74 GAA to Bachman's 1.75. But Bachman beat Lamoureux in save percentage (.937 to .929) and winning percentage.

If you look at overall numbers, Lamoureux's are even more impressive because of how good he was in nonconference play. That's why, in my opinion, Bachman deserves the WCHA award, but Lamoureux is a stronger Hobey candidate.
