Egads.......
Wow, nothing like the flu to knock you out!!! This is such a terrible time to get sick. So much going on in life and BOOM!!!!! You are down. I think I spent 3 days not even getting out of bed except for the emergency potty run and then I rotated from bed to sofa for a few. I can finally stand on my own again, thankfully. Now to crawl back out of the abyss.
I'm not a good sick person. I'm a total baby and don't wanna be sick (ok so honestly who does? right?) I feel like I undid everything for my fitness and at this point am still not up to attempting anything. I think I'm gonna rest this weekend and start back easy on Monday.
Have a great weekend! Smiles (weak ones today) to all.............

Boxing?? Oh Yea
Ok so I punched on my punching bag last night and OMG I forget how much I love punching on that thing. Talk about taking all your stress out!!!! And what a workout. I plan to add that a couple times a week to my workout.
Other than that, same old, same old for the rest of it. Nothing exciting going on. Can't complain tho, the stress level isn't high so I'm happy!!!!
Have a great weekend and smiles to all...............

Hunger Pangs?
Wow, I can't believe it but I think I actually had hunger pangs this morning! I know you are not supposed to let yourself get that way, but I finished supper last night around 6:45 and didn't eat anymore and have a fruit smoothie when I'm going to work. While I was at home about 20 min before I left I felt a kinda rumble but it didn't feel like a gassy feeling! I have to admit I haven't had those in AGES!!!!!!!! It felt so good. I remember reading Richard Simmons book way back and him talking about his really skinny unhealthy days and how those hunger pangs gave him such a high. I hate to admit it but it felt good to experience those pangs. I guess that's because I've not let myself get hungry in forever. Always sticking something in my mouth. Again, I know you should eat every 3-4 hours they say, but I felt proud of myself for having those. I think a combination of exercising and not eating again before bed did it! I've had my fruit smoothie and the pangs went away and I won't do that a lot but I think every once in a while we need to feel that so our insides know what it feels like not to be stuffed!!!!
Did the Valerie Bertinelli DVD workout last night. Beginner level. Was out of breath a couple of times but it's doable and I didn't get frustrated so that's a good thing.
Work gets stressful at times and just flows right along at times. Warm up on the way so hopefully can get outside for a bit this weekend, if just to walk around a bit. Cabin fever!!
Smiles to all........

Oh happy first week!
Although I had a few dissapoints (I'll get into later) this week, I had awesome results! Down 4.8#'s! Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One disappointment was having to put the C25K on the back burner, just not ready for it, back issues now. Doing the walking plan for the rest of the month to build up. Plus my DVD's. Watching what I eat without restricting too much. One thing I think might have made a difference is breakfast. I have started the day (well or had it around 8:00) with a fruit smoothie. Frozen fruit, soy milk and protein powder blended in my Ninja and am loving it! Usually I love the bacon, eggs, etc stuff, tried the oatmeal with walnuts (am starving within an hour) but this week a co-worker gave me the recipe for her fruit smoothie. One night I was tired and not in the mood to eat (yea that never happens!! but it did) and I had a smoothie for supper. I'm ordering a smoothie book off Amazon that I've looked at before that makes Veggie smoothies also. I've done the veggie juicing and did like it, but you get everything from the veggie like this, fiber and all. Montel Williams does an infomercial for the HealthMaster food emulsifier and has some veggie smoothies on it. My Ninja will do just fine but need the recipies. Portion control is my BIGGIE that I need to work on.
We are warming up somewhat so I'm hopin to get out and do some snow shoeing in the near future. Talk about a workout!
Smiles for a great week.......

Excitement still there
I did my C25K last night again, or attempted it. Again couldn't get it all done, but I'm still plugging away. I watched, yep I said it, watched, my workout for this morning and it was abs!!! Don't we all just love ab work. There are people that say, "I love ab workouts" are they serious? I mean really serious? I agree they are a necessary evil, but LOVE them??? NO way. I hate them. This one was difficult for a beginner, BUT even knowing what it was, I got up and did it this morning. We will see if I can move tomorrow. It was hard. And a reverse crunch? Come on, if you reverse, it's usually cause you did it wrong in the first place so it just SOUNDS wrong. My butt doesn't want to come up off the ground in that position, not even the slightest. So I'm not sure what part of my body got worked the most on that one. Probably my brain trying to figure out the logistics of that move. BUT, I did it, gonna claim it no matter what!
Work continues on and keeps me busy. Forever people need us. But I like helping people if I can.
This evening is house cleaning so that should burn a few calories!! Have a wonderful day!
Smiles to all
