How not to shut a blogger up

Update 10:57 p.m. 5/16/07: Here's a link to Rob Port's reply to Turtle Mountain's ban. Dear lord, I am so tempted to create an anonymous identity and start a massive flame war — but I won't.

Fellow blogger Rob Port got himself banned from the Turtle Mountain reservation recently because — get this — he said things people up there didn't like. What an enlightened response to criticism!

I'm sure glad East Grand Forks doesn't have an exclusionary law because the City Beat and that Lacey Crisp would be instantly banned.

I don't always agree with Rob's politics but in this case I stand shoulder to shoulder with him. Of course, this is no skin off Rob's back. It's just ammunition and rarely has a target been so deserving.
