Tonight, Wednesday, March 12th, let's start by introducing SKYWARN!

According to NOAA or the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration:       "SKYWARN" was as etablished by NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS), part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, and other partner organizations to obtain critical weather information. SKYWARN" is a volunteer program with nearly 280,000 trained severe weather spotters. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service."

With spring right around the corner, severe weather is not far behind. For those who are interested in weather, this might be right up your alley! So, how can you get involved? Well, believe it or not, classes to become a properly trained severe weather spotter are now being held and will continue through May!

Where do you go for training in the Northland?
