Impressive performance
How is this for a state-meet performance?
Bonnie Richardson of Rochelle High School scored 42 team points by herself to win the Texas 1A track title.
Richardson was the only athlete from her school to qualify for the state meet. Richardson's title march began with field events on Friday when she won the high jump (5 feet, 5 inches), placed second in the long jump (18-7) and was third in the discus (121-0).
On Saturday, she won the 200 meters in 25.03 seconds and nearly pulled off a huge upset in the 100 before finishing second (12.19) to the defending champion.

Lee to Force
Roseau boys hockey coach Scott Oliver confirms that junior goalie Mike Lee won't return next season.
Lee plans to attend school in Fargo and play for the Fargo Force, the new United States Hockey league team.
Lee wants to play at a higher level before he goes to St. Cloud State. His ultimate goal, of course, is a job in the NHL.
It's a big hit for Roseau. Goaltending isn't a program strength.
Roseau has had several skaters make NHL rosters but no goalies.
The Force are coached by Dean Blais, former UND head men's hockey coach.
