As a further, further note, I recently saw that playing cards with cold case pictures were being used in some of the prisons to help discover leads to cold cases.

I thought that it would be nice to add a sucess story to the mix. To help illustrate that this isn't such a worthless pursuit.
In Sept 2005, an 18 month old boy was abducted by his father. The father lost custody of the child, which drove him to flee the country with child. He went to Florida, but, when learned that authorities were searching for him there, he fled again. This time to the Honduras.
Neighbors in the Hunduras noted the odd behavior and reported him to local authorities. They searched the missing kids website and found a picture of the child.
This led to Federal judge issuing a warrand and arrest of father. NCMEC's Family Advocacy Division worked with US Dept of Justice's Office for Victums of Crimes to provide travel assistance. And, mother was reunited with child.
So, so, it does work. Children are found, even all around this whole world.
