Nothing Doing

Nothing much is really happening with me now.  Have again taken some times away and have to get back into the swing of the thing.  Just been doing some collages is about it.  Have made some good progress in the area of using humorous newspaper captions along with some collages.  Most were kinda simple, but towards the ends started turning a bit more complex.  I like most of what I did so far.  But...

still have the urge to go on with creating different kinda simple kinda work for me and others.

Newest Attempt

Enter your blog post here...

After seeing some newspaper clippings, I am now attempting something similiar.  But, instead of just the odd humourous cuts, I am also supply a visual display.  It is kinda fun to find and cut out the clippings.  The two days I have tried I have had mixed results.  The first day loads of clips, then the second only a few.   But, I now have plenty to start with and am pleased so far by the results.  Nothing so heavy nor visually overboard.  So far just a nice strong stream.  But, the proof is when the product is accomplished.  So...

Ashes of Success

Just tried out the silly idea and it failed.  Too much friction with it and got pics into clumps.  So, an idea popped into my head and crumpled up pics and puddy and came up with some really nice abstracts.  Trouble is that the puddy is way too expensive for the tiny amount that a guy gets.  So, again, the ashes dropped into dust.

About the ripped off idea.  Tried it and it works.  Works pretty good with a whole picture, too.  I tried the watercoloring of different sizes of pics and came out not so bad, and the use of ripping of sections came out really nice as a whole.   For now though I have hit a whole void.   Am uncertain about which way or weigh to turn?  Will have to think about it for awhile?  And, see what I will think?

After a short break (smoking out in the porch) I saw dirt glued in plastic cig wrappers and thought of the different sizes of the pics and wandering if the smallest sizes would fit?  If so, then could glue two back to back and glue dirt onto the pics in the plastic?   Will have to wait till light out to check it out?   Now, to get back to my art sites and grazing over some great art works.

Purpose

What I need to do is to think and put my ideas down and to make more and to help to organize my thoughts on and about art. This is very nice way to do this.  It would be great if it also worked to set aside an area to also to break into the real world.  But, could see that that mite be a bit out of order?

I have made great strides with my box ideas.  What I need to do is to make something that I can shape to do all of the things that I have done so far with the different types of boxes and to do more?  I think I have come up with an idea on just how to do that?  I will use silly puddy instead of tin foil to mold an already box into different frame works, plus, to better use the mounds and creavases idea to direct the art into moving into different areas and ways that I can that way control.  I mite have to use the glue pics on index cards idea to get the paper to slide better?  Or, to find and use a heavier type of paper art?   I will see on that.  I will first check here in armour if they have any of that silly stuff?  Hope so.  But if not, knot.

My workings with my watercolored ink and cloth is good but limited by having to have the ability to draw to get good stuff with it?  I think I have come up with one way to tin that hide?   I first thought of crumpling pics, then thought of folds like orangami?  I know that the paper has different sizes of pics, so if could glue some to get her I would do just that. And, could then use the watercolor ink over the finished product?   in some way?   I will try it out, after I learn and view a bit more art.  A great way to get ideas and see and maybe use some of the best art that is available.   Not bad for an old moustache.
