Favorite of Superior and Two Harbors now coming to Duluth!

Culver's creamy custard ice cream will be coming to Duluth in the next year! Culver's will be opening a new northland location in late summer/ early fall 2009. The new location will be located between Perkins and DTCU/Valvoline in Duluth Heights, on the corner of Mall Drive and Trinity Road. Culver's plans to begin construction as soon as possible on their new location and plan to have it open by the fall, but if the weather permits it may be open sooner. The new location will look far different than any other Culver's you have seen in the area. It will be the new Metro 98 prototype that totally abandons the original Culver's design. The new location will feature stone and tan siding on the exterior and a more modern feel to the store on the interior. Look for Butterburgers to begin being served with in the next nine months!

This will expand the consumables/grocery dept and overall update the whole interior design with new lighting and neon lighting along the walls matching the interior designs of Super Targets and other new interior designs. New cash registers are to also be included, although there will be four less than the current 22. There will also be more space around the pharmacy to alow for better cart flow and different departments throught the store will be moved to different areas. Additional details about the changes to the Duluth Target dealing with this remodel will become available when the construction date comes closer.
