An up to date site about the new and growing commercial developments in the city of Duluth and surrounding area.

Duluth's newest chain restaurant will be serving diners in the summer of 2009. Texas Roadhouse will open its second Minnesota location in the Duluth Hill development across from The Home Depot and Olive Garden in Duluth. The new restaurant will be themed as if it is straight from the state of Texas. Duluth Hill will also feature another restaurant, a fast food restaurant and two smaller retail centers. Texas Roadhouse opening its second Minnesota restaurant in Duluth means a lot for the city. Normally a restaurant would try to expand its presence in the Twin Cities first and then migrate up north. But that is not the case with Texas Roadhouse. Duluth should really consider its self lucky to be one of two cities in the state to house this new and exciting restaurant. Look for Texas Roadhouse to add a new style of dining to Duluth heights. The restaurant is known for its servers line dancing and great, filling food.

News on the street... Duluth Target planning major remodel.

News from a reliable source is now saying that the Duluth Target store plans to complete a major remodel to their store in 2009. The new remodel would relocate the pharmacy and expand the electronics and grocery sections of the store. The remodel would also add a Starbuck's location and give a new look to the entire interior, and hopefully exterior, of the store. While it is said that it is almost confirmed that the interior of the store will have a total remodel for sure, the outside is still awaiting a confirmed answer. Target already is receiving new landscaping and a new sign from MNDOT after eminent domain took over 100 spaces of parking from Targets lot. In order for a Target store to upgrade its store and remodel to the new "P2009" prototype they are required to expand their store an additional 6,000-8,000 square feet. The new look to the exterior would and hopefully will bring a new more modern image of Target to the Duluth area. When confirmations become available I will be sure to post what I hear.

Buffalo Wild Wings coming to Duluth? Look for them in the next year.

Buffalo Wild Wings is expanding its Minnesota presence with a new Duluth location. Their new location will be located in the old Gander Mt. building on Miller Trunk Highway. Their space will occupy around 5,000 square feet of the almost 40,000 square foot building. A proposed patio is also part of their plan. The other portions of the building have been split into an 8,000 square foot portion, a 18,000 square foot portion and a 2,000 square foot portion. Look for their new location to open this year or the first quarter of next.
