Stop that coaster?

Another email sent today to the council that I found interesting:

I would like to express my concern over the proposed Alpine Coaster at Spirit Mountain. The articles in the DNT claim that it will not disrupt the environment, but surely a sudden, large influx of screaming humans and noisy machinery will be a significant disruption to nesting birds and other wildlife in the area. There are some very fine hiking trails around Spirit Mountain, including a portion of the Superior Hiking Trail, and I'm worried that construction of an Alpine Coaster will destroy the natural beauty, peace and quiet of the area.
I'd like to request that the Council not approve this proposal--or at the very least order an environmental impact study, (specifically including a breeding bird survey of the construction area, since birds will be the wildlife most affected).
