Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State?
Rumor has it (and some news sources are saying it is a go) that Pres-elect Obama has tapped Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. If this proves true, how does it benefit him? Does it put her in a less advantageous position to mount a presidential bid in 4 years? Some question whether or not they could work together, but evidence suggests that he is a pragmatist willing to work with people who may disagree with him to get things done. John Kerry was also suggested as a possibility.
Hillary is clearly qualified, she clearly has the international staure for the job. Can she put herself into a position of being subordinate to the man who beat her?

Not sure how long he has been back on the air here in fargo, but the Garage Logic show from KSTP in Minneapolis/St. Paul is on from 2:00-5:00 on am1600 ESPN KQWB-AM.

That's a perfectly reasonable question.
There are about 15 pages of documents describing some details of Garage Logic, but that is not very helpful when you just want a quick explanation, is it?
OK, I'll try to give you the Reader's Digest version of the epic drama of Garage Logic.
Joe Soucheray is a columnist for The Saint Paul Pioneer Press. Mr. Soucheray is also a radio talk show host on AM 1500 KSTP (in the Twin Cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota).
In an effort to pursue the basic logic and common sense which seem to be sadly lacking in modern America, Joe built a virtual city as a vehicle for discussion.
Joe believes that most problems can be solved using the type of discussions that commonly take place in garages. Hence: Garage Logic.
This imaginary city is populated with citizens who take responsibility for their own needs and wish to be left to pursue their own dreams.
Joe became the Mayor of this little burg, the Seat of Gumption County. As the only elected politician and singular Government official, he is loved and respected by the citizenry. Because the citizens are so very self-reliant, the Mayor's primary responsibility is the purchase and ignition of fireworks for the annual July 4th celebration.
Some other cities within Gumption County are Kitchen Table Town, and Libertyville. Other neighbors of Garage Logic are Liberal Lakes, and Euphoria. We're not terribly proud of them, though.
All are welcome in Garage Logic. Because this town is virtual, your citizenship is based on your state of mind, not your geographical location.

Interesting...The Chairman at GM said that they want a bailout package...BUT THE PACKAGE CANNOT INCLUDE A REQUIREMENT THAT HE STEP DOWN. Just another way the evil corporate bastards screw us over. Gas goes up, and the cost of foods goes up with it. gas falls...food prices don't. The cost of wheat or corn go up...food prices go up....wheat prices go down....food doesn't.

OBAMA WINS....Historic Victory...
As I listened to Obama's speech...I was struck by a couple of things. First, what a good speaker he is, and second, he sounded like a leader. There wasn't much "Oh Yeah, I did something special here", it was more "we've started something, and we've re-afirmed our greatness as a nation, and we have to wok together"
If we get the pragmatic, confident, charismatic Obama who is portrayed in his books and in his speech, rather than a one dimensional cookie cutter extreme lefty that the republicans tried to make him out to be based on his stand on particular issue, we have the potential to possibly see one of the greatest leaders this country has ever seen.
If he is as good a president as he was a campaigner, he moves into the category of brilliant politician quickly (joining the likes of Bill Clinton) if he can unify the nation and somehow transcend the party lines in his presidency (as he did with his campaign) he will be a leader as well as a politician.
Interesting, as a kid I looked back at all the "exciting things" in history...the world wars, the civil rights movement etc...and thought nothing could be that historic in my life time. but looking back..
